International Dasoha Day. August 9th, 2025

Location: St. Mary’s Food Bank, Arizona

As part of International Dasoha Day 2025, VSNA Arizona organized a volunteering activity at St. Mary’s Food Bank from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Led by the newly launched Youth Chapter, members participated in food packaging, organizing supplies, and supporting the food bank’s mission. The event embodied the values of compassion and service, and all participants received volunteer hours for their contributions.

VSNA Arizona – Basava Jayanthi Celebrations, May 17th, 2025

VSNA Arizona joyfully hosted its first-ever Basava Jayanthi celebration with great devotion and community spirit. The event brought together members across generations to honor the teachings and legacy of Jagajyoti Basavanna, celebrating the principles of Kayaka (selfless work) and Dasoha (selfless giving).

Program Highlights

Warm Welcome & Prayer:
The event began with a traditional prayer invoking Basavanna’s blessings, followed by a welcome address that set the tone for the celebration.

Potluck & Community Meal:
Members participated in a vibrant potluck, showcasing delicious home-cooked meals. The community spirit was evident as everyone served one another with joy and humility — reflecting the core value of Dasoha.

Kids’ Cultural Program:
The highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of children and youth in cultural performances. From vachana recitations to music, dance, and skits, their talent and devotion shone brightly, leaving everyone inspired.

Youth Chapter Launch:
VSNA Arizona proudly launched its Youth Chapter aimed at fostering leadership and service among children and youth (ages 10–24). The youth will now take a lead role in volunteering activities, starting with the upcoming International Dasoha Day event in August.

Family Games & Fellowship:
Engaging family games and group activities encouraged bonding and laughter, making it a wholesome community experience.

Certificate of Recognition:
Children and students who achieved excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, or higher education transitions were honored with certificates of appreciation — celebrating the brilliance and potential within the community.
